Peacock Place, 3/4
bedroom villa, beachfront villa with ocean views, Sal Island sleeps
6 + 1, for non smokers
Spacious seaview 3/4 beds, 2 baths, very well equipped beachfront self catering holiday rental villa in Murdeira,
Sal, Cape Verde with large reception room, large ocean facing roof terrace,
outdoor dining room, 2 balconies and patio. Within a gated resort.
200 yards from swimming pool, restaurant, bar, grocery store. Less than 100 yards
from ocean. Wonderful seaviews. Possibility of breakfast, lunch and dinner in resort restaurant. Quiet. 10 mins airport transfer.
Relax and enjoy life in the Murdeira Beach Resort,
the only resort of its type to be completed in the Cape Verdes.
Approx 200 yards from the resort's 31m pool, it is close, but out
of earshot. In the front line, it looks directly out onto the turquoise
Murdeira Bay and onto Monte Leon, Cape Verde's mini rock of Gibraltar,
and there are ocean views from most of the rooms and outside spaces.
By having many windows on several sides and high ceilings, this
rental villa is very light, bright and spacious with lots of outdoor
space. It suits those that like to get away from it all,
without being away from it all. If you like to hear the sound of
the ocean by day and night, even from your bed, this will appeal.
The bay is undeveloped, to either side of the resort. It is an unique
opportunity for guests to enjoy long beachside walks and swims,
or to star gaze. Outside there are palm trees, hibiscus and oleanders. Right opposite is a small cove which is excellent for snorkelling, swimming, and for pic nics on the shore. There are several beaches within 400 yards in Murdeira; some sandy, some rocky.
Bedrooms - 3, and an additional bedroom
Three double bedrooms. On the first floor is the principal bedroom
with its own private bathroom with shower, WC, basin and washing machine. There is
a balcony to the east, and to the west there is a walkway leading
to the front balcony and roof terrace. On the ground floor there
are two double bedroom and shower room between them. The beds can be made up into twins, or king-size.
There is also another small room, between the principal bedroom's
balcony, and a further balcony (both have washing lines). This could be used to accomodate
an additional person on two mattresses or for accommodating suitcases and storage items.
Bathrooms - 2
One on ground floor, next to bedrooms and living room. One adjoining
principal bedroom on first floor. Outside shower and basin - very useful for removing sand and preparing freshly caught fish.
Kitchen - only if you want to
4 ring electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, cafetiere, kettle,
microwave, crockery, cutlery, picnic crockery, table linen. The kitchen area is arranged at the end of the sitting
room. If you don't feel like cooking, we can arrange meal plans you can eat at the resort's restaurant.
Dining/living should you wish to be indoors
There's seating for six at a round table in the large open plan
reception room. The seating area
is near the window by the front patio, with a 3 seater futon, a 2 seater futon, a 3 seater sofa and 2 single chairs. With two French windows, and the door to the
roof terrace on the first floor, the room is very light and airy and decorated with batiks with peacocks and tropical flower arrangements.
Breakfast on the patio, lunch on the roof terrace, dinner in the outdoor dining room
For al fresco dining this is it! You will probably never have to eat inside and there is a choice of places to eat. For breakfast and morning coffee, try the large patio with table and four chairs. For lunch and pre-lunch drinks and sundowners, there is a huge roof terrace with ocean views, with 3 walls. 2 teak chaise longues and 1 sun lounger. Also on roof terrace, teak bench, small teak table and 2 chairs, and teak gateleg table and sun umbrella. Customers' comments
We had a fantastic holiday. We all wanted to stay longer, even the youngsters. To come back to Murdeira, it was like a haven. We had a fantastic holiday, the house was wonderful. It was very stress free. It all worked so well. I've been all over the world and never had one so well equipped. It had everything you'd want. The instructions were very good. We'll definitely go back. N
We had a lovely time, the Villa is in a great location, very quiet. We were a bit apprehensive about the Island at first but within two days we loved it.
We hired a car for two days but after one day we returned it as we had seen all of the Island 2 or 3 times by then, Ha Ha.
Everyone was very friendly and it will be a place we frequently return to. C
We loved the island - the house was super. The people were lovely. We became part of the community. The pool at the restaurant was brilliant; we played tennis. The snorkelling was great, but the surf waves weren't right for us (August). The villa was pefect. B was very helpful - she was there if we needed her. We used to sit on the roof terrace, with a nice breeze. It was good to go to Santa Maria and we were pleased to return to Murdeira. Everything worked well, really well equipped, we'll be back. A.
At the moment Sal has got just about the right mix of everything to make it a really interesting place to go, a bit rough around the edges still, which I really like. This probably won't be the case in not so many years I guess. The villa was very good and all of your information was very useful. P
We really enjoyed hearing the sound of the ocean from our bed. S
This has to be the best equipped holiday villa we have ever encountered in terms of gadgets, furnishings and comfort. There was a good supply of cleaning materials, dry foodstuffs and detergent. The location was splendid with a view of Lion Mountain across the bay. It was quiet and we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast each morning.
We were pleasantly surprised to find beach towels. We felt that this was undoubtedly the best place to stay on Sal (apart from the Morabeza!) and a good place to return to in the evening or to spend the day reading at the pool. The village is well-maintained with staff much in evidence tending to the plants, emptying bins etc and there was a general feeling of safety.
The supermarket had most things including barbecue charcoal. We bought bread each morning and most ingredients, and found the staff pleasant and helpful. G
